Trip to Fujairah

We left for Fujairah on Monday.
As we started from Al Qusais, Dubai at 10:15 am, we filled the gas and headed for the road. We first entered sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Rd. then we caught the first exit to Maliha Rd. The rd. led us to the Sharjah- Kalba Rd which would lead us to Al Aqah, Fujairah. By 11:30 am we had taken the exit to Masafi, a small village in Fujairah famous for its Friday market.  Nowadays the market is open every day. We reached there and drank tender coconut water enjoying the view of the Hajar Mountains. Its a Photographers dream. The Market is famous for its carpets, nurseries & vegetables. The drive from here to Fujairah city is fabulous. red soil on one side and yellow on the other. By 12:30 am we reached the city. We stopped at the city tower hotel to have lunch. We got to KAIRALI restaurant and ate a delicious meal. We then left the city towards Khor Fakkan.
In Khor Fakkan We passed through the corniche road. It is a beautiful place to be in. Beautiful beach i must say.  We passed on to Al Aqah. We saw the coast on one side and the mountains on the other. The Resort was in sight. We reached the resort- “Sandy Beach Hotel and Resort”. We checked in to our beach side room. The room was pretty good. it was the ONLY resort with vacant rooms during the season. We went to the beach. The waves were strong. After that we swam in the swimming pool where I learnt how to swim. I enjoyed a lot. At night we walked around the beach towards the restaurant. We ate a meal of rice, chicken curry and spaghetti. The spaghetti tasted horrible but we had to adjust as they were the only things on the menu. After dinner we came back to our room and slept.

Tuesday
I woke up amazingly late and rushed through whatever I had to do. Then we left to find the way to the famous Wadi Wurayah. We found the way, but it was an impossible route for a sedan. So we left for Khor Fakkan Corniche. Ah! So calming and serene. We spent an hour or so over there. We even went boating. We ate lunch from Golden fork restaurant. Then we came back to the resort and relaxed for the rest of the day.

Wednesday

The trip was wonderful. A truly memorable experience. We left the resort and headed home enjoying the beautiful scenery. so thats it then!

Top Concerns:

1. The rooms were very old. So choose your resort wisely.
2. The customer service was really bad.
3. The swimming pool was overcrowded and not clean.
4. No Indian food in the restaurant. Though we may get biryani through room service.

Heroes of olympus: The son of neptune

Author: Rick Riordan.

Main characters: Percy jackson, Hazel, Frank, Gaea, Ella, Annabeth, Nico, Juno, Mars.

First of all, I am no critic. I am writing what appeals to me. So if there are any serious critics out there reading this, I apologize for any mistakes.

In this story, Percy Jackson is on a quest to find who he is. He fights imaginary creatures like Cyclops, centaurs and basilisks. A wonderful book if you ask me! The characters really match up to the readers expectations. A Greek and roman mix. Truly exquisite.

Humor is something everyone wants. Well in this book there is a lot of that! You want action? Then you wouldn’t take your eyes off this one. You can’t predict anything in this book. Sometimes you laugh your head off; sometimes it leaves you to bite your nails. After the book is over, I am sure you would wish for its magic to never end.

THE FESTIVAL OF (TERRIFYING ) ELEPHANTS

I was happy, I was excited,
My first day to a temple festival,
My first day to see,
A real elephant.

I was in the  temple,
Was I dreaming?
Hundreds of people
And kids like me.

Fifteen walls of muscles,
With two white tubes each.
Then it hit me, they were the elephants,
I was going off my skin.

A body and head of black coal
A snout of amber stone,
The colour is what I meant,
I turned to my cousin ,
To take my head off them.

The next moment,
I heard a shout, I heard a noise.
Before you could say,
Running off the elephants tail,
I was running, running with others,
Towards the gate.

When I looked back, I realized,
I was really running, running from the elephants’ tail.
Three elephants fought,
Without thinking, I jumped out, out of the gate.
I was alone, alone and nowhere to go,
I was scared to go back.

I started to cry,
Then I saw a boy,
Who was my friend,
We two set off to the other side.
We saw our family,
Who were going to report for us,
For us, the missing ones.

I had nightmares, nightmares for a few days.
I sweared never to go,

To a festival, a festival with elephants.

Corruption, war, poverty. Anything else on the news?

Corruption, war & poverty,
That’s all on the news today?
Money, land, a seat in the government,
Is that all a person lives for?

Why is there war in Egypt and Syria?
America and Ukraine as well,
Is it just to get people hurt?
Or is it ego at its max?

I still don’t understand why Russia,
A huge country, wants more land.
And America hurting people,
Instead of signing a truce.

Why is there corruption?
In the government, the people,
Or even the police, fire force & hospital?

Why is there poverty?
No equal treatment for any person.
No equal education therefore,
No equal income?

When oh When,
Will the news have something,
Something that is useful,
And is enjoyable to know.

Don’t turn your back on someone

Don’t turn your back on someone,
Just because he did something bad,
He might not have done it on purpose,
So give him another chance.

Do not turn your back on someone,
Help him even if he doesn’t help you back.
He eventually will help,
If you’re kind enough for him.

Do not turn your back on someone.
Wash away the slightest hatred,
Or anger before too late,

With friendship and love.

Why isn’t history boring? (Indian history)

Why isn’t history boring?
Is it because it is our  past?
A past in which there is,
No director crew or cast?

Is it because of the,
Wide range of brave characters?
Tipu sultan, Shivaji, Akbar, Rana Sanga,
You can’t name all.

Is it because of the revolutionaries young?
Who fought selflessly for their mother land?
Bhaga Jatin, Surjya Sen, Bhagat Singh,
And much more died for this cause.

Is it because of the vast variety of architecture?
Taj Mahal, Jantar mantar and many more?

Or is it because I am an Indian?
An Indian who loves his country,
An Indian who is proud to be,
An Indian forever.

My father and uncle were arrested by you Mr. Magistrate (British) and what was their crime? They loved their mother land. From today  you shall see how we Indians react.
Inquilab zindabad!
-Last words of Bhagat Singh before being hanged

What I want to see

What I want to see,
Is if there is water on the moon
So that if I am on the moon,
I can drink water from there.
What I want to see,
Is if they will call me
To be in the sea,
As a captain, sailor
Or just to sit in the ship,
To be free.
What I want to see,
Is if there is a superhero
To help you in your work,
who don’t even help,
You in your homework.
                                                What I want to see,
Is my future if free,
My life if secure,
And is poverty free.
What I want to see,
Is what my parents,
My friends, my teachers,
And everybody else

Likes about me.
